Agroforestry

The fast-growing exotics and multipurpose trees are planted in institutions and on-farm by farmers who live adjacent to the forest. To date, 269 households have been supported to plant more than 65,000 and 13 schools to plant 5,200 exotics mainly Grevillea robusta, Cupressus lusitanica and Eucalyptus saligna. SONABIC also conducts the annual tree planting exercises especially in Chepkong'ony Sub Location.
