Efficient Cooking Alternatives

SONABIC introduced energy saving jikos to 32 households and fireless cookers to 68 households with support from Nature Kenya and Nandi Environmental Forum. This assists to lessen firewood demand for forest adjacent households. A women group was also trained to produce the fireless cookers.
