Environmental awareness and education

Our CBO does outreach to 13 schools surrounding the forest to entrench environmental stewardship at a young age. SONABIC does this through linking the Schools Environmental Clubs and their patrons to Wildlife Clubs of Kenya, starting tree nurseries and bird feeding tables in schools, drawing a yearly program for school clubs, and organizing World Environment Day celebrations since 2000.
